1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information Valopins collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. Valopins is a fan-built toolkit for VALORANT players (lineups, crosshair codes, aim trainers).

We try to keep things minimal: most of the site works without any personal data at all. The sections below describe the few cases where we do.

2. Who we are

Valopins is operated as an independent fan project. The data controller for this site is the operator of valopins.com, reachable at [email protected].

Valopins is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc.

3. Data we collect

a) Automatically (browser and server logs):
— IP address (used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
— User-agent string
— Standard request metadata (timestamp, referrer, requested URL)

b) Cookies and local storage:
— A small "visitorId" cookie used for anti-spam on feedback and ratings
— Theme preference (light/dark) and language preference
— No advertising or third-party tracking cookies

c) Submitted by you:
— Feedback content and an optional contact (email/Discord/etc.) if you provide it
— Rating votes you submit on lineup posts

We do not require account registration. We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, payment information, biometrics, or precise location.

4. Why we collect it

— To run and serve the website (logs, request handling)
— To prevent abuse (rate limiting, deduplicating ratings/feedback)
— To respond to feedback or copyright notices when you contact us
— To remember your theme and language preference between visits

5. Legal basis (GDPR, where applicable)

For visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
— Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for security, fraud prevention, and basic site operation
— Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) where required, for example if you voluntarily submit feedback or contact information
— Compliance with legal obligations where applicable

6. Cookies

We use only "essential" cookies and local-storage entries:
— THEME: remembers your light/dark theme choice
— NEXT_LOCALE: remembers your language
— A short-lived feedback visitor cookie used to prevent spam

You can clear these from your browser at any time. The site will continue to work; it will just forget your preferences.

7. Third parties

We host the site through standard web infrastructure (DNS, CDN, hosting). These providers process the same request metadata (IP, user-agent) described above and do not see additional information.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics SDKs beyond what is disclosed here.

8. Data retention

— Server logs: retained for up to 30 days, then deleted or anonymized
— Feedback content: kept while it is useful for fixing the site, usually up to 12 months after the issue is resolved
— Rating votes: kept indefinitely as part of aggregate counts; individual votes are not exposed publicly
— Cookies: see expiration in section 6

9. Security

We use HTTPS site-wide and store the small amount of data we keep on reasonably secured infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
— Access the personal data we hold about you
— Correct inaccurate data
— Request deletion ("right to be forgotten" under GDPR; "right to delete" under CCPA/CPRA; equivalent rights under PIPL/APPI/PIPA)
— Object to or restrict certain processing
— Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
— Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. Because we do not require accounts, we may ask for additional information (such as the IP or visitorId you used) to identify your data.

11. Children

Valopins is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

12. International transfers

Valopins is operated by an individual in China but uses international hosting and CDN providers. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms).

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for a reasonable period.
